Hello families! My name is September Hopkins and I'm your postpartum doula. With over 10 years of experience in supporting families through the postpartum journey, SunShyne Doula specializes in providing compassionate, overnight care to parents in the DMV area (Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia).

As a dedicated night nurse, I understand the challenges that come with welcoming a new baby into the home. The postpartum period is filled with joy, but also exhaustion and uncertainty. My mission is to create a safe, nurturing, and non-judgmental environment where parents feel supported, empowered, and rested.

I offer overnight care services that give parents the gift of uninterrupted sleep while I attend to their baby’s needs, ensuring everyone in the household gets the rest they deserve. Whether it’s diaper changes, soothing, feeding support, or just providing a comforting presence, my goal is to make sure parents wake up feeling more confident, refreshed, and ready for the day ahead.
